Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Home Manager to oversee the daily operations of our care facility. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in senior care, including experience in assisted living and nursing homes. This role requires exceptional leadership skills, management experience, and a commitment to providing high-quality care to our residents, including those with dementia and Alzheimer's. The Home Manager will be responsible for ensuring that care plans are effectively implemented and that all staff are supported in delivering outstanding care.
Duties
- Oversee the daily operations of the care home, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements and quality standards.
- Develop and implement individualised care plans for residents, focusing on their unique needs and preferences.
- Supervise and support staff, providing guidance and training to ensure high standards of care are maintained.
- Manage medication administration processes, ensuring safety and accuracy in accordance with best practices.
- Foster a positive environment for both residents and staff, promoting teamwork and effective communication.
- Conduct regular assessments of resident needs and adjust care plans as necessary.
- Maintain accurate records of resident care, incidents, and staff performance.
- Liaise with families, healthcare professionals, and external agencies to ensure comprehensive support for residents.
Requirements
- Proven experience in a management role within assisted living or nursing home settings.
- Strong background in senior care, including dementia and Alzheimer's care.
- Nursing qualifications or relevant healthcare qualifications are highly desirable.
- Demonstrated ability to create effective care plans tailored to individual resident needs.
- Excellent leadership skills with experience in supervising teams effectively.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Compassionate nature with a genuine desire to improve the lives of seniors in your care.
