Job Overview

I am seeking a compassionate, friendly, flexible, dedicated, patient personal care assistant to provide care and help me in my home.

I have Cerebral Palsy and a wheelchair user. I am looking for someone who is flexible, that can provide cover when needed.

Immediate start, looking for a candidate to work over the Christmas period and into the New Year. This job role is permanent.

Duties

  • Preparing and cooking meals
  • Transfering from manual to electric wheelchair
  • Assisting with toileting
  • Light housework
  • Companionship, must have good communication skills
  • Driving to appointments or social outings when required (if you are a car driver)
  • Available to provide cover at weekends

Qualifications

  • Previous experience is desirable but not essential; full training will be provided
  • Valid driving licence is preferred for roles involving transportation of clients
  • Good command of English, for effective communication
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to listen empathetically and respond appropriately
  • Compassionate nature with a genuine desire to support others' wellbeing
