Head of Sales & Operations Planning
to take ownership of our end-to-end S&OP process — aligning demand, supply, and financial plans to deliver world-class customer satisfaction, improved profitability, and operational efficiency.
The Opportunity
As our Head of S&OP for The Compleat Food Group, you'll be the key driver in developing and evolving a best-in-class planning process across the business. You'll work cross-functionally with senior stakeholders in Sales/Commercial, Operations, Supply Chain, Procurement, and Finance to balance demand and supply, improve inventory turns, reduce lead times, and maximise working capital efficiency.
This is a pivotal leadership role, ideal for someone with both strategic vision and hands-on expertise, who thrives in a dynamic environment where growth, innovation, and pace are the norm.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the aggregation of the demand plan across multiple categories, delivering a rolling 12–24-month view of unconstrained demand.
- Oversee capacity and scenario planning to enable effective business decision-making.
- Manage and continuously improve the S&OP process, ensuring all stakeholders are aligned and trained.
- Develop and monitor long-term output and capacity plans that align with business strategy.
- Prepare and present data for monthly S&OP meetings, supporting resourcing, equipment, and labour planning.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to validate demand and supply assumptions and track performance metrics.
- Drive continuous improvement and lean initiatives across the supply chain to enhance efficiency and reduce waste.
- Facilitate consensus on demand planning across Sales, Marketing, Product Development, and Operations.
- Support new product introductions by integrating NPD planning into demand cycles.
- Act as a key point of escalation for major business risks related to supply and demand balance.
About You
- 7–10 years' experience in Supply Chain, with proven expertise in
Demand Planning, Supply Planning
, and
Inventory Management
, ideally in both manufactured and sourced finished goods. - Strong working knowledge of
MRP and ERP systems
, inventory control, materials requirements planning, and advanced analytics. - Experienced in
Lean principles
and continuous improvement methodologies. - Exceptional organisational, project management, and prioritisation skills — able to handle multiple demands and deadlines in a fast-moving environment.
- Highly data-driven with strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities; advanced proficiency in
MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
. - Proven leadership and people management skills — a natural communicator, influencer, and change agent. Confident engaging with senior leadership and cross-functional teams to deliver results.
