Assistant Head of Games, Media & Computing

Contract Type: Permanent/Full Time

Hours: 37.5 hours per week (on site)

Reporting to: Head of Centre

Location: Bristol

Salary: £35,000 - £40,000 per annum

About You

This role is pivotal in ensuring, through effective leadership and management, students studying within the curriculum areas have a high-quality learning experience. This role will also be responsible for the effective budgeting and line management of campus support staff. The position will work alongside the Management Team to ensure that the students receive high quality learner experiences whilst driving the campus goals and targets specifically in relation to student outcomes. The role will also play a major part in supporting and enhancing the learner experience through developing links with industry, employers and external stakeholders and being an ambassador for Access Creative College in the region.

You will be managing creative provision in media, games, esports and software development, therefore a background in one or more of these areas and a passion for creative education is highly desirable.

What you will bring to Access Creative College

Leadership Qualities: entrepreneurial leadership skills and experience in educational management in driving high-performing teams.

Educational Experience: managing or supporting a teaching team to ensure an outstanding learner experience

Curriculum Area Experience: a passion for the creative sector aligned to our curriculum offer including; gaming, esports, music, media and computing.

Industry contacts: Industry experience and contacts allow us to drive forward the next generation of creative minds.
