Responsibilities

• Staff Management Recruit, train, supervise, and evaluate maintenance staff and technicians.
• Budget & Resource Management:Oversee the maintenance budget, track expenses, and ensure cost-effective operations.
• Maintenance Planning: Develop and implement preventive and corrective maintenance schedules and procedures for equipment and facilities.
• Equipment & Facility Maintenance: Ensure all machinery and equipment are functioning correctly through regular inspections and repairs.
• Safety & Compliance:Implement and enforce health and safety policies and procedures to maintain a safe work environment.
• Inventory Management:Monitor spare parts, tools, and equipment inventory and place orders as needed.
• Vendor Coordination: Manage relationships with external vendors and contractors for specialized repairs and services.
• Record Keeping:Maintain detailed logs, reports, and records of all maintenance activities, costs, and equipment history.
• Troubleshooting & Problem Solving:Investigate issues, analyze data, and create effective solutions to prevent future problems.

Qualifications And Experience

• Strong technical background in lift, escalator, or similar mechanical/electrical engineering field.
• Proven leadership experience in field operations or project delivery roles is desired.
• NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Lift Engineering or similar technical qualification (MANDATORY).
• SSSTS / SMSTS or equivalent site management qualification.
• IOSH or NEBOSH Health & Safety certification (advantageous but not essential).
• Ability to manage multiple repair projects and resources concurrently.
• Excellent communication and customer relationship skills.
• Experience managing subcontractors and ensuring safe site practices.
• Proficiency in utilizing computer software programs for tracking repairs and maintenance
• Ability to handle challenging situations in a professional manner
