Exciting opportunity for a Music Teacher in Havering with potential for TLR responsibilities in developing musical opportunities

Our dynamic and inclusive school in Havering is looking for a motivated and innovative Music Teacher to join our dedicated team. This role offers the chance to grow professionally and potentially take on a TLR, contributing to the leadership and development of the Music department and the wider school's musical life.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality Music lessons across Key Stages 3-4 (and potentially KS5).
  • Foster a positive and engaging learning atmosphere that encourages musical exploration and creativity.
  • Support students of all abilities to achieve their full potential in music performance, composition, and appreciation.
  • Contribute to the collaborative work of the Music department and the school's musical calendar, including concerts and performances.
  • Opportunities for a TLR for candidates who show initiative and a desire to lead in specific areas of music or school musical events.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Degree in Music or a related field.
  • Experience teaching Music at secondary level (ECTs encouraged to apply).
  • A strong commitment to student progress, participation, and enjoyment in Music.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to inspire musical talent.
  • An interest in taking on additional responsibilities and leadership within the Music department and school music (for TLR consideration).
