Job Overview

Our dedicated Chef cares about sourcing and cooking great local produce to serve consistently delicious food to our community. Working at Leola from the launch, they will shape the look and feel of the bakery.

Our Chef will perform key roles that cover overall responsibility for the kitchen. They manage smooth daily operations and keep on top of a busy, welcoming, clean cafe. They genuinely care about great food - from sourcing; to creating; to serving. We're delighted to be working with excellent, local producers and our Chef is someone who is excited about all that goes into providing food that is good for people and the planet. Our Chef is comfortable running an effective, tasty food service and is keen to work with seasonal ingredients.

Duties

● Operational Duties - creative production, costings and logistics of ingredients. Make food efficiently and to a consistently high standard. Work fast, clean, and under pressure.

● Team Communication - timely, helpful explanation of menus to all staff/ customers.

● Ownership - take ownership for the success of the shift. Handle busy/stressful periods with good grace and feed back important shift information and provide suggested solutions for issues.

● Training & Development - Be present and vocal at all team meetings for feedback and communication.

● Health & Safety - strictly adhere to company policy and maintain cleanliness for the kitchen section.
