We're a traditional and much-loved pub in Charlton Kings, and we're looking for a talented and motivated CDP to join our dynamic kitchen team.

The Role: As a CDP, you'll be working closely with our Head Chef to deliver high-quality, traditional dishes that our guests love. You'll be responsible for overseeing the kitchen operations during service, supporting and training junior team members, and ensuring the kitchen runs smoothly in a busy environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Head Chef in menu planning and development
  • Ensure food preparation and service is of the highest standard
  • Manage and mentor junior kitchen staff
  • Oversee food safety and hygiene procedures
  • Maintain stock levels and support with the management of ordering
  • Take charge of the kitchen when the Head Chef is absent

What We're Looking For:

  • Proven experience as a CDP or in a similar role
  • Holds the ability to cook with fresh ingredients
  • Strong knowledge of kitchen operations, food safety, and hygiene standards
  • A passion for food and a keen eye for detail
  • Excellent leadership skills and the ability to work under pressure
  • A team player with a positive attitude and a commitment to delivering exceptional service
