JOB PURPOSE

Sustainability Business Coordination

  • To facilitate and promote sustainability related business by coordinating across Global Banking Unit and with the relevant teams in the Head Office in alignment with the overall strategy of the bank's corporate banking division, as well as monitoring ESG risks of the transactions across GBU.
  • This role requires collaboration across departments to integrate sustainable practices into our daily operations, ensuring compliance with regulations, and monitoring key performance indicators.

Business Development and Incubation

  • To develop new business that benefits or will benefit GBU and could become potential profit source in future in alignment with the GBU's strategy. The new business could be closely related to sustainability through interaction with customer in most cases, but other type of business is also not eliminated.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • To be acquainted with the regulatory requirements, the company's and the branch's procedures.
  • To compile relevant information / research of sustainability and make reports of activities to disseminate to Senior Management and relevant people Head Office in a timely manner in relation to sustainability business.
  • To conduct thorough market research and analysis to identify new business opportunities, industry trends, and potential competitive advantages. To develop and implement strategic plans for business which is new to the branch.
  • To build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, partners, and colleagues in the Head Office. To act as liaison point between Head Office and the Branch in sustainability business. To collaborate closely with relevant department in the branch and the Head office to align efforts and maximize impact.
  • To visit and call customers, develop and maintain relationship with Japanese and non-Japanese corporates to promote sustainability business. To represent the company at networking events and conferences to enhance brand visibility and generate leads.
  • To report and record swiftly and properly the situation and progress to Head of Department, and consult with Head of Department about what to do next in a proper manner.
  • To support the Head Office promoting sustainability business and impact investment. This includes, but not limited to, sharing business opportunity that the Head Office might be interested in that is introduced to us through customer meeting or networking events.
  • To assist with the design, testing and implementation of frameworks and systems for sustainability risk management of credit portfolio.
  • To support and assist the other staffs of the department to carry out the branch's and department's mission.
  • To carry out such other duties as requested by General Managers, and Head of Department.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • A strong aptitude for statistics, coupled with at least two years' experience in the financial sector, syndication and distribution.
  • 'A' level qualifications preferred.
  • Good PC skills, particularly with MS-PowerPoint and MS-Excel.
