Ecommerce's Governance and Experience is a global team responsible for ensuring our marketplace is safe and trustworthy for not only users, but also sellers and creators. We value user satisfaction and work on policies, rules and systems to ensure quality.

The IPR & Brand function sits within the Governance and Experience team, and is committed to protecting intellectual property rights (IPR) and maintaining a healthy and safe e-commerce environment on TikTok's E-commerce Platforms.

The EMEA team covers all markets in which TikTok Shop operates, across Europe, the Middle East and Africa.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as subject matter expert for product Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) governance related risks and trends, in support of GNE regional teams business protection, as well as consumer protection.

  • Provide a link to internal technical teams to create early risk detection mechanisms, including using consumer feedback and brand owner reports.

  • Support regional teams by implementing end-to-end proactive programs to minimize risks (such as counterfeit, copycat products, etc.) in different product listings and content scenarios.

  • Support the teams by developing capabilities and tools for them to investigate, manage and resolve high-impact brand related incidents and escalations around IPR issues.

  • Closely monitor media and global events to anticipate and mitigate potential brand-related risks. Use data to analyze trends, predict and fix problems before they happen.

  • Maintain close cross-functional partnerships with internal teams, to explain IPR policies and strategies and incorporate their requests.

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications

  • Extensive experience working in relevant fields, especially risk governance in e-commerce or social media platforms.

  • Experience of setting up monitoring frameworks to ensure risk governance solutions.

  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships and effectively liaise with people at all levels, including reporting to senior management.

  • Program management skills, with experience in collaborating with different business and technical stakeholders. Able to develop and execute large complex project plans, effectively monitor, and ensure timely delivery of project deliverables.

  • Demonstrated capacity for critical thinking and analysis with strong attention to detail.

  • Ability to manage ambiguity and thrive in a fast-paced working environment.

  • Excellent collaboration skills with internal and external cross-functional teams.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience of team management will be a plus.

  • Masters degree in relevant fields will be a plus.

  • Additional language ability will be a plus, such as French, German, Spanish or Chinese, due to a high amount of cross functional collaboration globally, but not mandatory.
