Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Early Years Practitioner at Level 2 or 3 to join our Pre-School team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about working with young children, supporting their development through engaging activities, personalised care and create a nurturing learning environment. This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of children while working within a supportive and professional setting.
Duties
- Manage and lead age-appropriate educational activities that promote child development
- Implement the pre-school's curriculum to support early childhood education
- Supervise and ensure the safety of children at all times within the setting and the outdoor play area
- Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues through effective communication
- Maintain accurate records of children's progress and developmental milestones
- Support children's individual needs through personalised care and attention
- Assist with organising special events, outings, and parent meetings as required
Skills
- Proven experience working with children in childcare, nursery or early childhood education settings
- Qualified at Level 2 or 3 in Early Childhood Education or a related field
- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written
- Ability to create engaging educational activities for children
- Knowledge of early childhood development principles and educational best practices
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
Required hours (term-time only)
Mondays (8:45 am - 3:15 pm, with a 20-minute lunch break), Thursdays & Fridays (8:45 am - 12:15 pm)
with the option of additional hours as our pre-school gets busier.
