Salary: Leading Practitioner Pay Range, points LP1 – LP5 £52,026 - £57,416
Contract Type: Permanent
Working Pattern: 32.5 hours, 52 weeks
About You:
Caister Academy is seeking a skilled and motivated Lead Practitioner of Mathematics to support the Head of Department and Vice Principal for Quality of Education in raising standards and driving excellence. You are an outstanding teacher with strong subject knowledge, committed to modelling best practice and mentoring others. You contribute to departmental planning, monitor teaching quality, and help embed whole-school strategies in mathematics.
You are passionate about pupil progress, using data and assessment to inform teaching and interventions. You promote high expectations, effective use of ICT, and a safe, respectful learning environment. With a collaborative mindset and a commitment to professional development, you help shape a thriving department and inspire success across the academy.
Our Ideal candidate will have:
- Qualified Teacher Status
- Qualification of degree level or higher
- Experience of teaching across the full age range and ability of an 11-16 school
- Good knowledge of the pedagogy associated with Mathematics
- Ability to teach KS3 and KS4
