About Us

Coco & Nut Coffee is one of South London's fastest-growing independent coffee brands, known for our signature breakfasts, vibrant atmosphere, and focus on quality food and service. We're opening a brand-new kitchen inside Westfield Croydon (Allders) and are looking for an experienced, reliable, and passionate Chef to join our core team.

The Role

We're looking for someone who can confidently take charge of a busy breakfast and brunch kitchen — preparing and cooking dishes to a consistent high standard. You'll need to be able to work independently, handle pressure, and ensure smooth service from prep to plate.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook high-quality breakfast, brunch, and lunch dishes.
  • Maintain excellent presentation and portion control standards.
  • Manage kitchen operations independently during service.
  • Ensure all food is stored, prepared, and served in line with food safety regulations.
  • Keep a clean, organised, and efficient kitchen environment.
  • Monitor stock levels, assist with ordering, and minimise waste.
  • Work collaboratively with front-of-house to ensure seamless service.

What We're Looking For

  • Proven experience as a chef, ideally within a breakfast/brunch café or restaurant.
  • Must be confident working independently and managing a kitchen solo when needed.
  • Strong understanding of breakfast and brunch menu items (English breakfast, toasties, pancakes, eggs, etc.).
  • A positive attitude and strong work ethic.
  • Excellent communication and time management skills.
  • Good knowledge of food hygiene and safety procedures.
  • Flexibility to work weekends and early mornings.

Pay: £12.21-£14.50 per hour

Expected hours: 45 – 55 per week
