Contract Manager / Project Manager

Location: Office and Site Based

Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: Competitive, depending on experience

Role Summary:

We are currently seeking a proactive and experienced Contract Manager / Project Manager to lead our Site Management Team in delivering both planned and reactive works to the highest standards.

You will be ideally based within a daily working a radius of Leeds, however our works often span across the U.K which will involve occasional lodging away.

Working within the rail sector, our clients including Network Rail, tier 1 NWR suppliers and the train operating companies.

Works are predominantly buildings and civils based, however a good all-round knowledge of building and civils disciplines would be advantageous.

This role also includes, ensuring safety and compliance across all operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage site teams to ensure efficient delivery of works
  • Liaise with OTP Providers and client representatives to coordinate schedules
  • Champion safety, quality, and environmental compliance
  • Represent the company at planning and progress meetings
  • Investigate incidents and implement loss prevention strategies
  • Monitor staff performance and promote professional development
  • Ensure compliance with CDM Regulations 2015 and other legislation
  • Support business continuity and technical standards across projects

What We're Looking For:

  • Minimum 5 years' experience in rail construction at contract and technical management level
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Skilled in building maintenance management
  • Ability to innovate across engineering disciplines
  • Full UK Driver's Licence
  • First Aid certification
  • PTS holder preferable
  • HNC in Building or equivalent NVQ preferred

Team & Reporting:

  • Manage a team of 8–15 staff
  • Report to Senior Project Manager / Managing Director
  • Financial responsibility for a proportion of the contract management budget
