Real Estate Associate or Senior Associate - Agribusiness - London

Lex Exec is supporting a top tier Real Estate Agriculture team as they look to hire an Associate or Senior Associate into their London office. This is a full time, permanent role offering access to one of the largest specialist agricultural property practices in the UK.

The role

You will join a Real Estate team that specialises in work connected to the rural economy and the wider agribusiness sector. The position offers a broad spread of property based matters, typically involving significant assets and high value transactions.

Typical instructions include:

  • Buying and selling rural property portfolios and development led land deals for a range of institutional and commercial landowners
  • Transfers of farmland, estates and wider countryside holdings
  • Work involving stables, equestrian facilities and associated property interests
  • Advising on occupation arrangements and tenancies linked to rural or mixed use land
  • Supporting clients with partnership structures and succession arrangements connected to farming or estate management
  • Acting on energy, sustainability and land use projects across the rural sector
  • Property matters involving minerals, extraction rights and long term land agreements
  • Refinancing, restructuring and funding matters for clients who operate land based businesses

This team works with a diverse set of stakeholders across the rural sector, giving you early exposure to sophisticated clients, complex assets and long term relationship driven work.

The person

The firm is seeking a Real Estate lawyer with:

  • 2 years PQE and above with experience gained at a respected regional or City firm
  • Experience of agricultural property work
  • Interest in food security, energy and natural resources
  • Strong communication and relationship building skills
  • Clear drafting ability
  • A proactive, collaborative and commercially aware mindset
  • Strong organisation, time management and problem solving skills
