Tremendous opportunity for a Qualified Accountant to join our Slough based team taking responsibility for the internal and external reporting of LPUK including oversight of the internal control environment.
Initially offered as a 12 Month Fixed Term contract whilst we integrate our two businesses.
Key Responsibilities
Take ownership of monthly and quarterly reporting and ensure completion as per deadline;
Take ownership of the audit reporting process during the audit cycle to ensure completion in a timely manner;
Take ownership of the balance sheet rec and general controls process to ensure balance sheet reconciliations and other controls are completed accurately and in a timely manner, regularly questioning balances and control outcomes with process owners, and raising key areas for the attention of management; and
Take ownership of the Statutory Accounts preparation and audit thereof.
Desirable Education & Technical Ability
Fully qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA).
Degree level in an Accountancy, Business or Statistics based subject or experience led equivalent.
Strong technical accounting knowledge.
Fluent in business English language, with excellent written and verbal
communication skills.
Desired Previous Work Experience
Experience of working within Audit.
Highly numerate with strong attention to detail – essential
Ability to think and take initiative with the confidence and initiative to challenge
processes as required within remit.
