London, Greater London, United Kingdom Heathrow Full time

Job Description
Heathrow is an amazing backdrop to a career filled with unique opportunities.  We are on an exciting journey to achieve our vision of being an extraordinary airport, fit for the future.  Through creating capacity, transforming for a digital future and focusing on people and planet, we will make every journey better.

The scheme
The 2-year
Procurement and Supply Chain Development Programme
will set you up for success, through rotations within different teams in Procurement.

The development programme includes rotations such as:

Infrastructure terminal works, Airside/Landside projects and Professional services

Engineering and Security Operations, Surface Access and Sustainability

Technology, Data, Systems and Data Reporting, Procurement Services, Cost and Pricing and Supplier Management

You will get involved in a fascinating range of projects and tasks, growing your skill set every step of the way. With opportunities to gain experience across the department, from managing technology, carbon, sustainability, and infrastructure supply chain events, preparing executive strategy papers to negotiating new partnerships. You will be adding real value to the business and building the relationships that will set you up for a future in Procurement.

You will develop your technical and practical capabilities, such as strategy writing, contract drafting and negotiation, supplier market engagement and tendering. During the programme, we will support you towards completing your Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply (CIPS) accreditation. On completion of the programme, you can then look to become a Member of the Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply (MCIPS).

Supporting you for success

Throughout the programme you will be supported by a dedicated mentor who can answer any questions you may have about the organisation and help you find solutions to any challenges you may face. Plus, you will have a 'buddy' to show you the ropes until you find your feet.

In the final months of the programme, you will also have the support of a senior sponsor from our leadership team. They will be there to help you build your networks, challenge your thinking, and unlock opportunities.

What we're looking for

It is important for you to demonstrate a 'can-do' attitude, integrity, and a real passion for living our Heathrow values. We will give you the scope to build upon your excellent communication skills and show you how you can use these to effectively influence and negotiate through your career. We are seeking our future leaders in Procurement, so you need a flair for problem solving as well as demonstrating drive and ambition. There's only one you, and therefore somewhere in the airport there likely exists a challenge or opportunity that can only be unlocked by your unique mix of skills and traits. Can you find it? And more to the point, what will you do with it?
