Channel Manager
to join our Entertainment team - Is this your next opportunity?

As a Channel Manager, you will be responsible for executing channel strategy (social media), ensuring growth across key metrics while maintaining editorial standards. This includes planning channel schedules, monitoring content performance, leveraging platform analytics and overseeing the delivery of high-quality assets to ensure best overall performance of the channels in their responsibility.

HOW YOU'LL SPEND YOUR TIME

  • Owning the channel strategy and working with relevant stakeholders to ensure peak performance and growth across all key metrics.
  • Planning and delivering channel schedules in accordance with the channel strategy and platform approaches.
  • Day-to-day supervision of video content editor task allocation and delivery of editing and design assets, including quality assurance of the platform and appropriate tone of voice.
  • Crafting creative video thumbnails and meta-data for content as provided by the video processing team, liaising with the edit studio to optimise thumbnail, and schedule content so that it is consistent across individual channels.
  • Monitoring content performance using up to date insights and platform analytics, including any and all internal insights tools to improve performance.
  • Working with internal stakeholders to ensure that each channel maintains the highest editorial standards, a strong and consistent voice and successful community engagement.
  • Providing basic client communications, responding day to day tasks and emails, and liaising with Partnerships Manager on wider client project management.
  • Engaging with current cultural memes and moments to inspire video optimisation.

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED

Skills matter, experience is useful, attitude is everything.

  • Experience of managing social media channels, teamed with a knowledge of social platforms and approaches to video usage.
  • Creative Strategy & Planning:
    Able to brainstorm simple content ideas with guidance.
  • Insights & Performance Reporting:
    Can interpret basic analytics and reports, providing simple observations.
  • Client Relationship Management
    : Has a basic understanding of client management principles.
  • Platform Expertise:
    Understands basic social media platform functions and features, adhering to standard best practices.
  • Project Management & Stakeholder Coordination:
    Understands basic project management principles, able to assist in coordinating tasks and timelines.
  • Identifying Commercial Opportunities:
    Recognises basic commercial. opportunities, such as minor improvements for engagement or simple revenue streams.
  • Organisational Skills:
    An organisational mindset to navigate a variety of different content restrictions and policies day-to-day (with support and guidance from the wider team).
  • Understanding of Memes: A good understanding of meme culture and current cultural moments that can inspire how we package video content (YouTube video titles and thumbnails).
