Remit

Our client, a long‑standing private care home provider specialising in high‑quality residential dementia and nursing care, is seeking an experienced Home / Regional Manager to oversee a portfolio of care homes across the North West.

Following recent success, the organisation is entering a strategic growth phase and has firmly established itself as a values‑based provider, consistently achieving 100% 'Good' CQC results. Reporting directly to the Managing Director, the postholder will work closely with existing regional managers to deliver excellence across operational, commercial and quality domains.

Key Points

  • Will be expected to be visible across all care homes within the remit
  • Must act as a support system and mentor for Registered Managers and wider staff within the care homes
  • Drive KPIs and overall performance
  • Responsibility for operational performance, occupancy, staffing and compliance
  • Manage, support and mentor a team of Home Managers to deliver high‑quality, person‑centred care
  • Ensure homes achieve and maintain strong regulatory ratings, with a focus on continuous improvement
  • Clear autonomy to deliver strategic and operational priorities
  • Opportunity to influence an expanding group with continued and future growth plans
  • Weekly reporting into the Managing Director with clear strategic targets and outcomes to deliver

Requirements

  • Proven regional management experience within the elderly care sector, OR 5+ years as a high‑performing Home Manager seeking progression into a Regional Manager role
  • Strong understanding of governance, risk management and regulatory frameworks (CQC)
  • Track record of supporting large teams to deliver safe, compliant and person‑centred services
  • Evidence of stability and longevity in recent posts
  • Nursing background beneficial but not essential
  • Energy, drive and confidence to operate autonomously in a fast‑paced environment

Location

The remit covers the North West; suitable candidate locations include: Crewe, Stoke‑on‑Trent, Manchester, Derby, Chester, Warrington, Stockport, Wigan, St Helens etc.

The postholder can be flexibly based, ideally within reasonable reach of the portfolio.
