Job Summary

Established in 1999 Raise is an anti-poverty charity offering face-to-face and telephone advice and support for welfare benefits, debt and financial capability at a specialist level. We work in the heart of the community in partnership with local agencies to deliver holistic financial inclusion and income maximation.

This is an opportunity to be involved in the delivery of our advice service to clients in the Liverpool City Region. To achieve this, we are looking for a highly motivated individual who is engaged in getting the basics for our clients and staff right. Experience in welfare benefits, clerical tasks and working in an office environment is preferred. You will have excellent attention to detail, effective communication skills as well as competence in IT and Digital skills. We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Benefits Advisor to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in assisting clients with understanding and selecting the right benefits options to meet their needs. This position requires excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to analyse various benefit plans effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Provide expert guidance to clients regarding available benefits options and help them make informed decisions.
  • Conduct data entry accurately to maintain client records and benefit selections.
  • Engage with clients via phone, and face-to-face ensuring professional phone etiquette at all times.
  • Analyse client needs and recommend suitable benefits packages that align with their requirements.
  • Upsell additional services or products as appropriate, enhancing client satisfaction and engagement.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of benefits policies and changes within the industry.
  • Assist in resolving any client inquiries or issues related to their benefits.

Skills

  • Strong data entry skills with a high level of accuracy.
  • Bilingual or multilingual abilities, particularly in Spanish and English, are highly desirable.
  • Excellent phone etiquette and communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Strong analytical skills to assess client needs and recommend appropriate solutions.
