Position:

Main purpose of the role
The purpose of this role is to:

Initiate and deliver client projects and internal business change projects to time, cost and

scope for all stakeholders.

Work closely with the Client Projects Delivery Manager on a day-to-day basis to manage

and allocate project work in the team.

Train, support and supervise staff to provide effective delivery of a timely, reliable,

accurate and consistent day to day service to internal and external stakeholders.

Continually review and improve processes to deliver better results for revenue

requirements and internal and external stakeholders

Key Responsibilities
Data
Managing the analysis of data and data reporting tools to a high standard across various

areas of the business to ensure integrity of data and that process and data standards are

adhered to.

Collecting, understanding, and documenting the business processes for data and

calculation processes (including data quality reporting). Documenting data analysis and

specifications to a high standard and in line with business document standards.

Providing expertise on the processes and systems around data, particularly in relation to

pension administration and legislative requirements.

Where new or changes to existing processes are required, developing specifications and

assisting developers to translate these into functional specifications and develop test

strategies/plans.

Client Projects
Analysing requirements to scope and define client project work, ensuring estimated effort

and costs are accurate.

Managing the completion and checking of client project work in line with proposal

documents and project plans to expected target dates and to meet revenue requirements,

ensuring any potential risk is flagged and mitigated.

Documenting client project work, including client reports, to a high standard and in line

with business document standards.

Providing expertise on the processes and systems around which a project is focused, particularly in relation to pension administration and legislative requirements.

Managing project requirements with business solutions/scheme experts/technical

team/payroll and scheme services teams to deliver successful project outcomes and

handover.

Developing ways of working to improve efficiencies and manage risk to reduce write-off

and errors and omissions.

Implementations
Analysing requirements to scope and define client project work identified during the

implementation process or as part of tender responses, ensuring estimated effort and

costs are accurate.

Managing the completion and checking of implementation work in line with proposal

documents and project plans to expected target dates and to meet requirements,

ensuring any potential risk is flagged and mitigated.

Documenting business process for data migration and payroll reconciliation work,

including decisions and reports, to a high standard and in line with business document

standards.

Providing expertise on the processes and systems around implementation, particularly in

relation to data migration, payroll reconciliation and business data standards.

Managing implementation requirements with business solutions/scheme

experts/technical team/payroll and scheme services teams to deliver successful handover

of data and calculations.

General Business
Business policies and processes: Ensuring business policies and processes (including team

processes) are followed and promoted to complete work accurately and in line with

requirements, reducing the risk of write-off and errors and omissions.

Data and Information security: Ensuring ISO 27001 processes are followed and that you are

compliant with and responsible for the relevant risk and controls that are in place for

bothIS027001 and the Information Security Management system.

Communication: Ensuring appropriate communication is undertaken with team members,

other areas of the business, end users and the project manager throughout.

Facilitating Change: Supporting and encouraging the introduction and adoption of new

procedures through documentation and communication. Supporting and encouraging the

introduction of change within business areas.

Business Improvement: Suggesting and developing ideas to improve efficiency and

quality of service and provide input and support to business development opportunities,

both within the immediate team and wider business.

Requirements:

Professional qualities
Essential
A-Level or equivalent

GCSE English and mathematics (A-C)

Strong technical Defined Benefit and Defined Contribution knowledge including complex

administration

Strong communication skills

Strong numeracy skills

Five years prior experience in pension administration including experience of project work

and leadership

Data analysis experience

Highly computer literate and experienced in pension administration systems

Strong MS Office skills, especially Excel, Word (including mail merge

Desirable
PMI Qualified

Business analysis qualification

Prior experience of pensions scheme implementation projects

Personal qualities
Self-starter with the ability to work with minimum supervision

Should be able to communicate and build relationships with management, staff and clients

across the business

Ability to manage, lead and work well within a team

Ability to think analytically and should be a problem solver

Have high attention to detail and accuracy

Must have a flexible attitude and be able to comfortably accommodate change

A commitment to quality and a thorough approach to the work

Prefer a small-business, fast paced working environment

Desire to stay updated on current and new developments in the pensions industry and

pensions legislation

Desire to learn new skills

Ability to multitask and strong time management and organisational skills
