Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Senior Care Worker to join our team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting elderly residents within a care home environment, ensuring their wellbeing, safety, and comfort. This position offers an opportunity to lead and supervise care staff while delivering high-quality personalised care. The ideal applicant will possess strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and a genuine passion for senior care.
Duties
- Provide personalised care to residents in accordance with individual care plans, ensuring dignity and respect at all times
- Supervise and support junior care staff, fostering a positive team environment
- Assist residents with daily activities such as mobility, personal hygiene, medication management, and meal preparation
- Monitor residents' health and wellbeing, reporting any concerns to healthcare professionals promptly
- Develop and review care plans in collaboration with residents, their families, and healthcare teams
- Maintain accurate records of care provided and ensure compliance with regulatory standards
- Organise activities that promote social engagement and mental stimulation for residents
- Ensure the safety of residents by adhering to health and safety policies within the care home
Experience
- Proven experience working within a senior care or care home setting
- Supervising or leadership experience in a caregiving environment is highly desirable
- Knowledge of developing and implementing care plans tailored to individual needs
- Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with residents, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Competence in using IT systems for record keeping and reporting purposes
- Valid driving licence is advantageous for supporting residents' outings or appointments

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: £13.00-£13.65 per hour
