Job Summary
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Care Workers to provide high-quality support and assistance to individuals in various care settings, including assisted living, nursing homes, and home care environments. The successful candidate will play a vital role in enhancing the well-being and independence of clients through personalised care and support. This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in people's lives while working within a supportive team.
Responsibilities
- Deliver personalised patient care, including assistance with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, and mobility.
- Support clients with medication administration and monitor health conditions as required.
- Assist with meal preparation, ensuring dietary needs and preferences are met.
- Manage behaviour and provide emotional support, especially for clients with dementia or Alzheimer's disease.
- Support with light housekeeping duties to maintain a safe and clean environment.
- Drive clients to appointments or social activities when necessary, ensuring their safety during transit.
- Document care provided accurately and report any concerns or changes in client condition to supervising staff.
- Engage in activities that promote social interaction and mental stimulation for clients.
Requirements
- Experience in assisted living, nursing home care, or home care is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of dementia, Alzheimer's, hospice, and senior care practices.
- Relevant skills such as caregiving, medication administration, first aid certification, behaviour management, and meal preparation.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary and assist with mobility support.
- Valid driving licence is preferred for transporting clients safely.
- Compassionate nature with excellent communication skills and patience.
- Flexibility to work various shifts including mornings, afternoons, or evenings as required.
- A recognised qualification in health or social care is advantageous but not essential. This role is ideal for individuals committed to providing compassionate care while supporting the independence of those they serve.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: £12.75-£13.00 per hour
Expected hours: 37.5 per week
