The business, a Manchester success story, own successful fashion brands alongside retail outlets in the UK and globally.

The L&D Lead is responsible for driving the development and growth of colleagues across the Group, aligning learning initiatives with business needs and strategic goals.

The Role

Reporting into the Head of People and working closely with the People team, managers, and external partners, the role ensures effective, engaging, and future-focused learning experiences that enhance talent and support a positive employee journey.

Your key responsibilities will be to:

  • Partner with managers and People Partners to identify current and future learning needs
  • Conduct training needs analysis and integrate findings into opportunities
  • Design blended training programmes tailored to business and individual needs
  • Deliver impactful in-house training sessions taking a blended approach
  • Oversee induction programmes and produce engaging learning materials
  • Maximise external funding opportunities (e.g. Apprenticeship Levy)
  • Manage relationships with external training and platform providers
  • Monitor effectiveness of programmes through feedback and continuous improvement
  • Stay informed on L&D trends and technologies (e.g. AI) to enhance employee experience

About You

We are looking for an enthusiastic L&D professional keen to build and own something with scope for improvement, whilst developing themselves. We don't necessarily need the finished article for this role. Ability and attitude are important as you will be entering into a business with a real appetite for an improved L&D offering. You will be conversant with the latest technology advances in your specialism and enjoy dealing with meaningful, data driven figures to track engagement and ROI.
