We're looking for a motivated Junior Accountant to join our finance team at Northchild Properties Management (UK) Ltd. You'll be part of a collaborative, international environment supporting the day-to-day running of our finance operations. About you:

You'll bring enthusiasm for learning, curiosity about how finance supports a growing organisation, and the ability to balance attention to detail with the bigger picture. You'll enjoy being part of a team that values collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Process accounts payable and receivable, set up suppliers, run weekly payments, and raise invoices

  • Perform bank reconciliations and cashbook postings, investigating and clearing reconciling items

  • Prepare month-end journals for accruals and prepayments, and maintain the fixed asset register

  • Assist with VAT returns, basic tax filings, and audit documentation

  • Help produce management accounts, dashboards, and variance analyses

  • Support budgeting and forecasting with data collection and workbook updates

  • Maintain the finance inbox and respond to internal queries

  • Contribute to control improvements and small automation projects


Essential Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field

  • AAT Level 3 or 4, or early-stage ACCA/CIMA student, with a commitment to continue studying

  • 6–18 months' practical finance experience (internship, placement, or entry-level role)

  • Solid Excel skills (lookups, pivot tables) and confidence with new systems

  • High attention to detail, proactive problem-solving and strong organisational skills

  • Clear written and verbal communication skills

Desirable Requirements:
  • Exposure to month-end processes, fixed assets or VAT

  • Experience with Xero, Sage, NetSuite or SAP

  • Basic understanding of internal controls and audit readiness

  • Mandarin Chinese language ability to support our group operations in China, Hong Kong, and Canada
