Lead Full Stack Developer III 

Northampton - x 3 times a week

£60,000 - £70,000 base

Plus uncapped annual bonus of 15%


OVERVIEW

The Senior Full Stack Developer will play a key role in leading the architecture, development, and optimisation of internal applications, web tools, and integrations across the wider technology stack (including Zoho, AWS, and custom web applications).

This is a hands-on technical and leadership role, responsible for delivering high-quality, scalable systems and embedding modern development, coding, and deployment practices across the team.

You'll take ownership of engineering standards, CI/CD pipelines, version control workflows, and peer review processes to ensure quality, reliability, and scalability. Working closely with stakeholders, CRM developers, and other full stack engineers, you'll drive continuous improvement, mentor others, and help shape the technical direction that supports the company's growth and innovation within the financial technology space.


RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and maintain CRM functionality and integrations within Zoho CRM, including Deluge scripting (training can be provided).
  • Lead the design, development, and deployment of full-stack web applications and business tools using modern frameworks.
  • Define, document, and implement development standards, including version control, testing, code review, and CI/CD processes.
  • Mentor and guide developers, providing technical leadership and fostering a culture of continuous learning.
  • Build and maintain scalable cloud-based solutions using AWS services such as Lambda, S3, and Redshift.
  • Create and manage API integrations between CRM systems, internal tools, and third-party platforms.
  • Develop and enhance custom CRM widgets and interfaces using JavaScript, HTML, CSS, React, and
  • Use Python for automation, data transformation, and backend logic, particularly for analytics and integrations.
  • Continuously review and optimise codebases for performance, scalability, and maintainability.
  • Collaborate with CRM, Machine Learning, and Data teams to integrate predictive models and analytical insights into workflows.
  • Provide technical oversight and support for complex issues, ensuring reliability and best practices across deployments.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

  • 5+ years of full-stack development experience in a commercial setting.
  • Strong proficiency with JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and front-end frameworks (e.g. React).
  • Advanced experience with and Python for backend development.
  • Hands-on experience with AWS technologies including Lambda, S3, and Redshift.
  • Experience designing and maintaining RESTful APIs and database-driven applications.
  • Familiarity with Zoho CRM (customisation, Deluge scripting, integrations) is highly desirable.
  • Solid understanding of software engineering best practices — testing, version control (Git), deployment pipelines, and security.
  • Proven leadership skills, with the ability to mentor developers and drive technical improvements.
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills, with an ability to collaborate across technical and business teams.
  • Experience in financial services, lending, or FinTech environments is advantageous but not essential.
