Due to business expansion, we are looking to recruit an experienced Dayt Shift Transport Planner with a minimum of 1 years experience planning a fleet of refrigerated Articulated vehicles, to join our team based in Spalding.

This is a full time permanent Day shift position that operates on a 5/7shift pattern

This position offers excellent opportunities for the right Candidate

Main Duties:

· To ensure that customer deliveries are planned in a timely and cost effective manner to meet the customer depot requirements.

· To ensure that all Drivers are aware of start times and planned according to all regulations.

· To take full responsibility for the input and maintenance of the daily/weekly traffic sheet – ensuring full accuracy of detail.

· To be a point of contact for Drivers and to allocate all work instructions.

· To allocate work in accordance with current Operating Licence legislation

· Ensure that customer enquiries are dealt with in a professional, timely and competent manner

· To ensure that Communication channels are open and maintained with other internal departments including the Transport Management team and customers

· Provide sickness and holiday cover for colleagues in the department

Other Duties:

· All employees are expected to adhere to company rules and procedures and act in a professional manner

· All employees are responsible for health safety of themselves and others around them and therefore should ensure that safety regulations are adhered to.

· Undertake any training required to fulfil the role in a competent and safe manner, as directed by the Company

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: £28,000.00-£33,000.00 per year
