Transport Planner

Due to business expansion, we are looking to recruit an experienced Transport Planner on the night shift with a **minimum of 1 years experience planning a fleet of refrigerated** **Articulated vehicles**, to join our team based in Spalding.

This is a full time permanent position on a 4 on / 4 off rota.

**Main Duties**:

- To ensure that customer deliveries are planned in a timely and cost effective manner to meet the customer depot requirements.
- To ensure that all Drivers are aware of start times and planned according to all regulations.
- To take full responsibility for the input and maintenance of the daily/weekly traffic sheet - ensuring full accuracy of detail.
- To be a point of contact for Drivers and to allocate all work instructions.
- To allocate work in accordance with current Operating Licence legislation
- Ensure that customer enquiries are dealt with in a professional, timely and competent manner
- To ensure that Communication channels are open and maintained with other internal departments including the Transport Management team and customers
- Provide sickness and holiday cover for colleagues in the department

**Other Duties**:

- All employees are expected to adhere to company rules and procedures and act in a professional manner
- All employees are responsible for health safety of themselves and others around them and therefore should ensure that safety regulations are adhered to.
- Undertake any training required to fulfil the role in a competent and safe manner, as directed by the Company
