Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Bar Manager to take ownership of day-to-day bar operations and help shape the guest experience. You'll lead and motivate the team, maintain high service standards, and ensure smooth running during busy shifts. This is a hands-on role ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys building a strong team culture.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily bar operations, ensuring efficiency and excellent service
  • Lead, train, and support bar staff, fostering a positive and motivated team
  • Manage stock levels, ordering, deliveries, and waste reduction
  • Maintain compliance with licensing laws, health & safety, and hygiene standards
  • Create staff rotas and manage shift coverage
  • Handle customer enquiries, feedback, and any issues professionally
  • Work closely with senior management on promotions, events, and sales targets
  • Monitor financial performance, including cash handling and cost control

Qualifications

Required:

  • Previous experience in a bar management or senior supervisory role
  • Strong leadership and team-building skills
  • Excellent communication and customer service abilities
  • Confidence in managing busy service periods
  • Knowledge of stock management and ordering processes
  • Ability to ensure compliance with licensing and safety regulations

Preferred:

  • Experience within a high-volume city-centre venue
  • Cocktail knowledge and interest in drink trends
  • Experience collaborating on events or promotions
