To become the car-changing destination of choice. By combining technology, media and deep automotive expertise, we've turned how people buy, sell, advertise and lease cars on its head.
What started as a simple reviews site is now one of the largest online car-changing destinations in Europe. Last year alone we grew over 50% with nearly £3bn worth of cars bought on site, while £1.8bn of cars were listed for sale through our Sell My Car service.
In 2024, we went big and acquired Autovia - creators of AutoExpress and Evo magazines - doubling our audience overnight. Together we now have one of the biggest YouTube channels in the world with almost 10m subscribers and over 1.1 billion annual views, while we sell 1.2 million print copies of our magazines and have an annual web content reach over 350 million.
And we're a long way from done
Reporting into the Senior Culture & Inclusion Manager, you will be instrumental in designing, implementing, and championing an engaging and inclusive employee journey for all Carwowers across the UK, Germany, Spain, and Portugal. Your work will directly translate into our evolving culture through targeted initiatives and projects. We're looking for an ambitious, creative, and highly connected individual who can build trust and influence quickly in our fast-paced environment.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIESGlobal Events and Experience Ownership: You will own the full lifecycle of Carwow's internal events and social calendar, ensuring a consistent, high-quality, international employee experience. This includes proactively managing logistics, budget, communication, and on-the-day execution for events across our London office. This person will also work closely with our local office leads and the wider People team to deliver these events in our German, Spanish, Portuguese and other UK offices.
Driving DE&I Initiatives: You will lead the planning and implementation of our internal Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion calendar, working closely with our Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) to deliver a variety of events, learning, and awareness initiatives that are culturally relevant and impactful. This includes translating ERG efforts into clear, engaging, and company-wide comms and action plans.
Data-Driven Engagement: Data is at the heart of the People Team, so you will be leading the administration and analysis for our employee engagement tool, Peakon. You will help create company-wide reports and analysis of the scores to be shared company-wide, ensuring insights lead to clear, measurable action plans. You will also be supporting data collection and reporting on DE&I metrics.
Internal Comms and Narrative: You will be the primary voice for all People Team and Employee Experience initiatives, drafting and coordinating engaging internal communications that resonate with our global team. This includes launch comms, project roll-outs, and need-to-know information for the workforce, ensuring the tone of voice is consistently people-first, clear, and concise.
Merchandise & Onboarding Experience: Merch is a crucial part of our onboarding experience. You will proactively own the end-to-end relationship with our merchandise provider, sending new starter boxes, ensuring stock levels are always maintained, keeping track of costs and thinking of new innovative ways to splash our branding across new swag.
Culture & Inclusion Project Leadership: You will take ownership and drive the roll-out of key Culture & Inclusion projects, such as Internal Mentoring and Carwow Classrooms, supporting development from concept to successful, company-wide implementation.
Demonstrable experience working on and successfully rolling out DE&I initiatives and events, understanding the nuances of an international workforce.
Ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders quickly, and learn to influence through others.
Strong organisational and project management skills and exceptional attention to detail, ensuring no aspect of an event or task is overlooked.
Keen willingness to go the extra mile for our employees, doing whatever it takes to ensure the ideal employee experience is provided.
Passion for different topics of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, and understand the role of equity and inclusion in the employee experience.
A self-starter who demonstrates fresh and innovative ideas and can confidently manage multiple projects simultaneously.
A data-driven approach to suggesting and implementing people process improvements.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills to advocate for change, present ideas persuasively, and craft compelling internal comms.
A strong sense of pride in your work environment and your projects, being mindful of the importance it has on overall company culture.
