Absolute Children's services are recruiting waking night carers to work within our 5 bed Therapeutic children's home. We are looking for caring, supportive individuals for full time opportunities, shifts are from 10.00pm to 7.00 am. A Waking Night Carers role is to ensure that all children within the home are safe throughout the night. You will support young people with bedtime routines, encouraging regular sleep patterns along with waking morning routines in accordance with a young person's care plan.

Absolute Children's Services provide residential care placements for children and young people who present with complex and challenging needs. We create a therapeutic restorative family environment for children and young people who have suffered abuse, neglect, and other trauma. We aim to transform the lives of children and young people who suffer severe emotional and psychological difficulties so that they can fulfil their potential and enjoy life.

Person Specification for the role:

  • You must have a full clean driving licence
  • Complete an Enhanced DBS.
  • Satisfactory references
  • You must have the right to work in the UK
  • Be an active team player with good communication skills both written and verbal
  • Experience in residential childcare would be advantageous, but not essential
