Chesterfield S, United Kingdom Divine Angels Care Full time £26,000 - £30,000 per year

Full-Time / Part-Time / Zero-Hour

Do you have a passion for supporting children and young people to achieve their potential?

We are seeking Children's Residential Night Support Workers to join our team and provide overnight care, safety, and emotional support to young people living in a solo residential setting.

This role is about helping children who may have experienced trauma, neglect, or disadvantage to feel safe, supported, and understood throughout the night. You don't need previous care experience — if you have the right values, enthusiasm, and willingness to learn, we will provide full training and ongoing support.

What you'll be doing:

  • Maintaining a calm, safe, and supportive environment during night hours.
  • Carrying out welfare checks and responding to any nighttime needs.
  • Providing reassurance and emotional support to young people who may struggle with sleep, anxiety, or unsettled behaviour.
  • Completing light household tasks such as cleaning communal areas, tidying the home, laundering bedding/clothing, and ensuring the environment is hygienic and welcoming for the next day.
  • Recording and monitoring nighttime routines, incidents, and handover information.
  • Ensuring safeguarding, advocacy, and promoting young people's rights at all times.
  • Working as part of a reflective, supportive, and therapeutic team.

What we're looking for:

  • A genuine passion for working with children and young people.
  • The ability to remain calm, caring, and consistent during quiet periods as well as in challenging situations.
  • An eagerness to learn therapeutic approaches such as trauma-informed care and PACE.
  • Reliability and commitment to working night shifts, including weekends.
  • Previous experience is welcome but not essential – what matters most is your commitment, potential, and resilience.

What we offer:

  • A full induction and specialist training programme.
  • Support to achieve professional qualifications (QCF Level 3).
  • Ongoing learning in therapeutic models such as PACE.
  • Opportunities for career progression within a supportive team.
  • Competitive salary and enhanced night and sleep-in allowances.
