The Investment Management Clients (IMC) domain focuses on the investment management activities of Van Lanschot Kempen.

That is what you will use your talents for as a Portfolio Manager - Institutional at Van Lanschot Kempen. Within Investment Management Clients, portfolio management is responsible for constructing, assembling and managing investment propositions and products, as well as investment and balance sheet management solutions for institutional investors such as pension funds and insurance companies.

You will have the following tasks:

  • Portfolio implementation of growth (return driven) and matching (liability driven) portfolios for institutional clients;
  • Daily portfolio management and monitoring to ensure compliance to mandates and within guidelines;
  • Drafting of client mandates and guidelines;
  • Management of internal and external fund solutions;
  • Participation in complex transitions and onboarding / creation of new client portfolios;
  • Continuous improvement of processes and the development of new portfolio management propositions;
  • Contribution to the design, implementation and management of an integrated institutional portfolio management platform across the UK and the Netherlands – including data, systems, infrastructure and tooling;
  • Collaboration across a wide range of front and back office teams and functions for the efficient and successful management of institutional client portfolios.

You also have:

  • University education, preferably economics/econometrics or a quantitative degree;
  • Ideally 0-3 years of working experience – experience with institutional portfolio & balance sheet/liability management is a pre-requisite;
  • Strong quantitative knowledge, ideally experience with pricing of interest rate derivatives and inflation-linked products An approach and thought process that is structured, analytical, accurate, conceptually strong and practical;
  • Excellent communication skills;
  • A focus on being client-oriented, solution-oriented, result-oriented;
  • The ability to work and keep a level head in a high pressure environment.
