The Role:
THIS ROLE IS AN 18 MONTH FTC , WORKING TOWARDS PERMANENT
The Portfolio Analyst will play a key role in supporting the day-to-day Portfolio Implementation, focussing on operational and administrative functions for the Portfolio Management team. The Portfolio analyst will be level 4 qualified (IAD or CFA)

The Portfolio Analyst will work closely with Senior Portfolio Managers, ensuring the accurate and timely execution of cash management, FX transactions, and model portfolio updates across client accounts.

The Portfolio Analyst will help maintain the smooth running of the Portfolio Management team's activities, contributing to the production of high-quality reporting materials, and uphold the integrity of portfolio data across multiple systems and platforms.

The Portfolio Analyst will support the daily operations of the portfolio management team, including: raising client cash and monitoring cash positions, aggregated dealing (twice weekly). Placing and monitoring FX orders on a daily basis.

Managing FX overdrafts resulting from trades, firm fees, or client withdrawals. Assisting with the implementation of model changes across client portfolios.

The Portfolio Analyst will provide support on bespoke investment proposals and related implementations for senior portfolio managers, this will include production of performance reports used in external marketing materials, updating and maintaining portfolio models on Bloomberg and FactSet, using FactSet Portfolio Analytics to update and manage drifted-weight models.

The Portfolio Analyst will liaise with internal teams to ensure smooth execution and settlement of trades and instructions and contribute to data integrity across systems and models.

The Portfolio Analyst will contribute to the continuous improvement of team operational processes and internal and external reporting standards for the Portfolio Management team.

The Candidate
RDR Level 4 qualification (or equivalent UK certification) – essential.

Minimum 2–5 years' experience in a similar Portfolio Support role (Portfolio Analyst, Dealing, Trade Support, Portfolio Implementer) within financial services, investment management, or wealth management environment.

Familiarity with front- and middle-office processes, including trade execution, portfolio monitoring, and cash management.

Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel (intermediate to advanced level desirable)

Familiarity with Morningstar.

Experience using Bloomberg and FactSet (on desk training will be provided, if required)

Understanding of model portfolio management and related operational workflows.

Previous exposure to multi-asset portfolios or discretionary investment management.
