We are recruiting for 2 roles:

1 x Fixed-Term Contract (FTC) - until 31/03/2026 - with possibility of extension

1 x Permanent position

Working closely in a team lead by the Data Protection Officer, the Information - Assistant will play a critical role in upholding the Agency's compliance with information rights and access laws, including the Data Protection Act 2018 and Freedom of Information Act 2000. You will be joining our small but enthusiastic and highly skilled team, who are committed to continuously improving and evolving the Agency's compliance with information rights law and helping the Agency to deliver on its strategic objectives.

Our Data Protection Officer believes in working in a collaborative and flexible way and values diversity in experience and perspective to foster good decision making and problem solving within their team.

This is a rare chance to shape the future of information rights law in a fast growing, national organisation with real social purpose. Working with key stakeholders and a professional Information Governance team, with our Knowledge and Information Management profession, you will ensure efficient, consistent and effective resolution of requests for information and have the opportunity to help shape and influence our approach to transparency and privacy.

You'll be comfortable supporting the day-to-day operations of a busy Information Governance team and supporting Data Protection Officer and their team with complex information rights and access issues. Knowledge of information rights and access law is desirable but not essential as you'll be provided with full training and support from experienced colleagues. You will have strong organisational skills, with a strong and demonstrable ability to prioritise work to strict deadlines.

You will be resilient and comfortable managing stakeholders at a senior level and your discussions will always be shaped by a good understanding of the commercial and operational impact of what we do as an Information Governance team. You will enjoy working in an innovative, fun and engaging way and be able to negotiate and persuade.

As an Information Governance professional you'll understand how to manage colleagues and be able to demonstrate you can work with others as part of a team in a collaborative, inclusive way.
