We need a Information Governance Administrator to join our Digital services team.

Joining our team on a full time, 40hrs per week basis, you will work in a hybrid capacity, working 2 days per week out of our Birmingham office and 3 days remotely.

The Role
The Information Governance Administrator will be responsible for supporting the Head of Information Security & Governance and the Information Governance Manager with various Information Governance requirements of the Cygnet group. This will include policy development, information governance support, advice and guidance, audits, archiving, action plans, training and compliance with the Data Security and Protection Toolkit requirements. As part of the role you will be ensuring compliance with the Data Protection Act 2018 and UK GDPR.

Your Day To Day

  • Administration tasks for the Information Management Team.
  • Raise awareness of the importance of information governance and encourage all staff that hold, obtain, record, use and share information to do so according to Cygnet IG Policies and good practice.
  • Support in ensuring that the annual Data Security and Protection Toolkit assessment is completed each year in conjunction with Cygnet's Digital Services department and IG Board.
  • Assist with keeping up to date all asset maps for the organisation as well as reviewing and risk assessing when necessary.

Qualifications And Experience

  • Strong Administration skills and or qualifications.
  • GCSE in English Language or equivalent.
  • Microsoft Word/ Excel at a good level.
  • Ability to multitask, remain calm and professional
  • Ability to demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to relate at all levels.
  • Experience of working with senior managers.
  • Experience of administratively supporting teams.
  • Excellent ability to prioritise workload.
  • Attention to detail/ability to work accurately.
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines.
  • Understanding of Data Protection and Confidentiality
