NHS Fife Pharmacy and Medicines Directorate is seeking an enthusiastic individual to join our dynamic and passionate Admissions and Emergency Care Pharmacy Team, dedicated to delivering exceptional care through safe, timely, and efficient medicines management ensuring supply for patients receiving immediate treatment.
As a Pharmacy Support Worker, you will work at ward level alongside the Admissions and Emergency Care team and the wider Pharmacy service. You'll play a pivotal role in overseeing efficient medication management, securing urgent medications, facilitating clear communication across pharmacy teams and medication supply providers, assisting with medication histories, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring the utmost safety and effectiveness throughout the patient's hospital journey.

You should have experience working in a pharmacy team and must have SVQ in Pharmacy Services at SCQF Level 6 (Full award) or equivalent. Have completed or be willing to work towards the underpinning knowledge programme for Pharmacy Support Workers at Fife College.
You should have good interpersonal skills and communications skills and have a passion for patient care. You need to be forward thinking and flexible and enjoy face to face interactions with patients and the multidisciplinary team. You should also be able to travel throughout Fife.
The NHS Fife Pharmacy and Medicines Directorate provides an integrated service to a population of approximately 380,000 people, with a team of around 300 Pharmacy staff, including Pharmacists, Pharmacy Technicians, Support Workers, Nurses, and Administrators.
