INDOPS
Key Accountabilities:
· Co-ordination of all depot activities ensuring the smooth running of depot
· Supporting efficient dispatch of all routes and products to customers on a daily basis
· Coaching and motivating members of the delivery team
· Analysing the performance of drivers by accompanying them on their routes
· Ensuring delivery procedures and policies are adhered to at all times
· Effectively liaising with sales, transport, and operation departments to resolve all issues in a timely manner
· Ensuring equipment breakdown and repairs are minimised and reported
· Supporting shift manager in ensuring that company vehicles are properly maintained, cleaned and safely operated to reduce accidents and enhance the company brand
· Involved in identifying, coordinating training as appropriate to meet driver needs
· Ensuring the premises are maintained to the highest standards
· Supporting Security and Health & Safety Procedures relevant to site
· Leading by example and applying company policy and procedures in a fair, consistent and unbiased manner
· Supporting absence management, investigation and disciplinaries
· Office Admin responsibilities
Requirements:
· Experience in a relevant supervisory role in a high volume, technology driven, time sensitive distribution operation
· Experience within the Food distribution industry is advantageous
· Must possess a full Drivers Licence
· Competent in the use of IT systems including Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word
· Good understanding of the Department of Transport regulations (Tachograph legislation, Work Time Directive etc.)
· Ability to influence a team to deliver the highest standards of service
· Proven ability to be an effective decision maker with a hands-on approach to the business and problem solving
· Ability to plan and organise your own and your teams work activities in a safe, efficient and effective manner
· Ability to analyse, interpret and explain and present relevant business data
· Fluent English – reading and writing
· Strong knowledge of the surrounding geographical area
· Flexible approach to working hours
