Deputy Manager – for Wraparound Childcare Club (Level 3 Playwork Qualified).

25 hours per week, term time only. (38 weeks per year).

Morning: 7:15am – 8:45am

Afternoon: 2:15pm – 5:45pm

Scallywags Activity Club is a friendly, well-established wraparound childcare provider, (established in We offer before and after-school care for primary aged school children attending Emscote Infant School and All Saints' CE Junior School in Warwick.

We are looking for a new member of staff trained to Level 3 (Playwork), to join our enthusiastic and caring team. The successful candidate will help the manager lead our club, engaging in a fun safe environment where children can play, learn and thrive.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Club Manager in the daily running of breakfast and after-school sessions
  • Supervise and engage children in a range of creative, active and inclusive activities
  • Lead and motivate staff, maintaining high standards of care and safeguarding
  • Prepare and serve healthy snacks
  • Maintain records, plan activities and assist with administration
  • Build positive relationships with children, parents, carers and school staff

About You

  • Level 3 qualification in Childcare, Play work, or equivalent (essential)
  • Experience working with children in a play or school setting
  • Enthusiastic, reliable and confident in leading a team
  • Strong understanding of safeguarding and health & safety requirements
