Online Coach
About The Role
We are seeking a compassionate health coach to join our growing team at The Habit Base.
We're a new UK-based online health coaching company, launching in January, delivering a world-class fitness and lifestyle experience for women worldwide. Our approach is rooted in habit-building and sustainable change, helping women move away from "all or nothing" patterns and build confidence, consistency, and freedom in their health journey.
Our mission is to redefine women's health by breaking the cycle of diets, body shame, and quick fixes — creating a world where women feel at home in their bodies, confident in their choices, and free to live fully without restriction.
As a new company, this is a unique opportunity to join early and help shape the way we coach, connect, and grow. You'll play a hands-on role in delivering an exceptional client experience and contributing to the systems, resources, and culture that define The Habit Base.
We're currently seeking a coach with experience working with women over 30 who is passionate about helping clients break free from old dieting cycles, rebuild self-trust, and feel empowered in their bodies through evidence-based, habit-centered coaching.
The ideal candidate can deliver high-quality, compassionate coaching and is comfortable speaking on a variety of topics — including nutrition, mindset, emotions, recovery, fitness, and lifestyle habits. You'll be skilled at meeting clients where they are, and guiding them toward lasting change.
At The Habit Base, connection and rapport always come first — so you'll bring a natural motivation to inspire, support, and guide women through every step of their journey.
Key Responsibility
- Work full-time (40 hours, Monday–Friday) to deliver consistent, high-quality client coaching and support.
- Manage a client load of approximately 30–40 women at one time, maintaining strong connections, accountability, and meaningful progress across all clients.
- Conduct in-depth onboarding consultations to understand each client's health, fitness, and lifestyle goals — identifying key priorities and translating them into clear, achievable habits.
- Develop personalised, habit-based coaching plans that focus on small, sustainable changes aligned with each client's long-term goals.
- Lead weekly client check-ins — reviewing progress, analysing challenges, and setting new focus areas. Responses may be provided via written, voice note, or video format, depending on the client's preference and situation.
- Provide advice on nutrition, movement, mindset, emotions, and lifestyle using a flexible, evidence-based approach that supports real-life sustainability — not restriction or perfection.
- Deliver compassionate, high-quality coaching through online platforms (video calls, voice notes, and messaging), ensuring every client feels heard, supported, and accountable.
- Communicate with clarity and confidence in all client interactions — including goal-setting, feedback, and any client escalations.
- Participate in weekly 1:1 meetings with your Head Coach for mentorship, accountability, and ongoing professional development.
- Create and deliver educational content — including webinars, workshops, and community sessions — to enhance client knowledge and engagement.
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date client records including session notes, progress tracking, and habit data — ensuring each client's journey is well-documented and organised.
- Collaborate with the wider Habit Base team, contributing to programme development, coaching systems, and community initiatives as we continue to grow.
- Achieve performance targets (KPIs) across key performance areas (KPAs), including client outcomes, engagement, and retention.
Essential Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year's experience working as a health or wellness coach online, ideally supporting women over 30 to improve their habits, nutrition, and movement — with measurable results.
- Recognised certifications in personal training and/ or nutrition coaching, with the ability to apply both in a practical, evidence-based way.
- Strong understanding of habit formation and behaviour change, including how to simplify goals and help clients build sustainable routines.
- A compassionate and adaptable coaching style.
- Skilled in motivational interviewing, using reflective listening and open-ended questions to guide clients toward self-discovery and ownership.
- Excellent communication skills — you're confident in coaching via video, voice note, and written message, and can build connections even through a screen.
- Organised and detail-oriented, able to manage a caseload of 30–40 clients while keeping records, notes, and progress up to date.
- Comfortable discussing and programming progressive strength training principles for clients of all experience levels.
- Tech-savvy with reliable internet access and confidence using online platforms for coaching, communication, and progress tracking.
- Flexible within working hours, with a proactive attitude to communication and team collaboration.
Desirable Requirements
- Experience supporting women with a history of dieting or "all-or-nothing" patterns, helping them rebuild a positive relationship with food and exercise.
- Familiarity with online coaching software such as Trainerize or similar tools.
- Experience creating educational resources, including webinars, video workshops, and written guides for clients.
- A demonstrated commitment to personal and professional development, with a desire to keep learning, growing, and contributing new ideas to the team.
