HEAD CHEF WANTED

We're launching a Brand-New pub in the heart of Canterbury, and we're on the lookout for a passionate, creative Head Chef to help shape our kitchen from the ground up.

We're looking for someone who wants to create, inspire, and lead. You'll have full input on the seasonal menu, from Sunday roasts to a modern all-day menu.

What we're offering:

  • Competitive Salary of £35, ,000 depending on experience.
  • Additional Monthly bonus when KPI's are achieved.
  • Free meals on shift, 25% off food and drinks out of hours.
  • 50-55 working hours per week across 6 days.

About you:

  • Significant experience in a Head Chef or Senior Sous Chef role within a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen.
  • Strong understanding of EHO standards, kitchen compliance and culinary knowledge.
  • Confident in client-facing roles and bespoke menu planning.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Proven ability to manage budgets, stock control, and supplier relationships.
  • Minimum Level 3 Food Safety and Hygiene certification.

Key responsibilities:

  • Complete weekly administration tasks on time.
  • Manage and train a team of kitchen staff to meet high operational standards.
  • Source fresh ingredients from quality suppliers and manage stock efficiently.
  • Monitor kitchen budgets and control costs effectively.
  • Uphold full compliance with food safety and health regulations.
  • Lead daily kitchen operations.
  • Maintain up-to-date documentation and train teams on compliance
  • Conduct regular food audits and quality checks.
  • Managing inventory and ordering stock when necessary.
