Overview

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Head Chef from January 2026 to lead our Smokehouse team in delivering exceptional dining experiences. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a deep understanding of culinary techniques, food safety standards, and hospitality practices. As the Head Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing all kitchen operations, ensuring high-quality food production, and maintaining a positive and clean work environment for your team.

Duties

  • Lead and manage the kitchen team, fostering a collaborative and efficient work atmosphere.
  • Oversee food preparation and production processes to ensure quality and consistency in all dishes served.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain high standards of cleanliness in the kitchen.
  • Supervise cooking techniques and presentation to uphold the restaurant's reputation for excellence.
  • Manage inventory levels, ordering supplies as needed to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
  • Train and mentor kitchen staff in culinary skills, food safety practices, and team management.
  • Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Head Chef or in a similar leadership role within a restaurant environment.
  • Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in food preparation.
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities with experience in team management and staff development.
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with both kitchen and front-of-house teams.
  • A commitment to maintaining high standards of hospitality and customer service.
