Essential Functions, Roles and Responsibilities;
For all tasks training will be provided and competency assessed.
To provide guidance and support in relation to all aspects of quality control and assurance across all departments within the company. Ensuring continuing quality conformity in relation to product and processes within the organisation. Working alongside the other Quality Engineers, helping to coordinate the wider quality teamwork.
- Monitoring and analysing quality performance data.
- Actively participate in internal audits as per the internal audit schedule and support with customer on site audits. Ensuring that any audit nonconformities raised are closed out within a reasonable time scale.
- Assist in Third Party (certification body) audits for ISO9001, IATF 16949 & ISO14001.
- Lead problem solving activities, utilizing industry standard methodologies: 8D's, 5 Whys, 3C, DMAIC, Ishikawa fish bone diagrams, FMEA's.
- Co-ordination of document control (specifications, standards, procedures).
- Create and deliver customer quality reports (FAIRS, ISIR reports, PPAP and APQP documents to ensure that they are correctly completed to meet customer requirements.
- Ensure product verification activities are completed in a timely manner.
- Handling of customer returns ensuring all returns are quickly dealt with and the causes are rectified.
- Support and assist the business with Continuous Improvement activities.
- Lead despatch and certification activities and processes with regards to quality management aspects ensuring all supporting documentation is available at the point of despatch.
- To support and cover Goods In/ Goods out checks when necessary.
- To support and cover daily production checks and line audits when necessary.
- Use the Burnetts measurement equipment including CMM to help generate measurement reports for product. This can be done on an upfront approval basis or for first off/last off approval.
Education, Training and Experience;
- Bachelor/Master´s degree with a technical focus or time served in a comparable role.
- ISO9001/IATF16949 Internal auditor training.
- ISO9001/IATF16949 Lead auditor training (Desirable).
- AIAG core tools experience (Desirable)
- ISO14001 Internal/Lead auditor Training (Desirable).
Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities;
- Strong experience working with global automotive customers quality systems and understanding customer specific requirements.
- An understanding of both ISO9001 and IATF16949.
- An understanding of Quality tools and techniques (8D, Lean, 5 whys, Pareto Analysis, Six- Sigma, DFMEA, PFMEA, PPAP, APQP, MSA etc preferred).
- Ability to conduct audits in compliance to ISO19011 guidelines.
- Extensive experience within a leading senior Quality position within a manufacturing environment.
- Computer literate an ability to communicate on all levels within an organisation (verbal and written).
- Able to work logically and systematically.
- Commercially aware, in relation to all aspects of quality.
- Must be a pragmatic and practical problem solver.
- Ability to multitask effectively.
- Must have a calm but firm management style driving positive engagement of all employees with regards to all aspects of Quality Management and assurance.
- Must be a proficient communicator and listener.
- Must possess a professional and mature attitude.
- Experience of rubber & plastic injection moulding industry would be advantageous.
