Quality Engineer – Onsite Location: Northampton, England, United Kingdom Working hours: Monday to Thursday 8:00–16:30, Friday 8:00–15:30 Employment type: Permanent, Full‑time Responsibilities Investigating and resolving quality issues from shop floor through to customer delivery. Leading root‑cause analysis and implementing effective corrective and preventative actions (CAPA). Supporting internal audits and maintaining the ISO 9001 Quality Management System. Using problem‑solving tools such as 8D, FMEA, and RCA to drive improvements. Working closely with production, engineering, and suppliers to enhance product and process quality. Promoting a culture of continuous improvement and right‑first‑time manufacturing. Qualifications Proven experience in a manufacturing or engineering environment – ideally heavy or industrial. Strong understanding of ISO 9001 systems and auditing. Practical experience with root‑cause analysis, 8D reports, FMEA, and CAPA. Confident working both on the shop floor and with customers or suppliers. Excellent communication and problem‑solving skills. Ideally qualified to HNC/HND or degree level in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Quality Engineering (but equivalent experience is just as valuable).
