HybridPurpose of the RoleAEGIS London are currently seeking a Wordings Specialist to work closely with the Senior Wordings Specialist and the Wordings Manager in all aspects of the function. This will include all aspects of the contract certainty requirements of the Syndicate across all lines of business. The role holder will also support in mentoring and developing junior members of team. This is an excellent opportunity for a highly literate candidate coming from a Lloyds background looking to progress their career within a high performing team and Syndicate.
Duties and Accountabilities
- The drafting and/or reviewing of Policy Wordings, ensuring each expresses the coverage granted/agreed to
- Ensuring Policy forms and clauses comply with legal and regulatory requirements
- Ensuring policy forms and clauses comply with internal requirements and guidelines
- Keeping abreast of market issues and developments in order to support the business units within AEGIS London
- Development and branding of new Policy Wordings and clauses
- Delivering of advice and guidelines to Brokers/Clients/AEGIS colleagues with regard to Policy Wordings
- Resolve contract related queries from Brokers/Clients/AEGIS colleagues
- Develop, manage and maintain the AEGIS Wordings and Clause library
- Provide support and guidance where required to AEGIS overseas office
- Participate in post-placement reviews as required
- Conduct regular Contract Certainty checks across all classes to ensure compliance with market standards
- Complete PBQA check across all classes
Skills, Knowledge and Experience
The successful candidate will have:
- Demonstrable experience working within a the Lloyds Market (Syndicate/Broker)
- Thorough understanding of the workings of policy wordings
- Ability to draft policy wordings and clauses etc
- Ability to build relationships internally and with brokers/clients
- Excellent analytics/interpretive skills
- Good time management skills
- Excellent communication skills both writing and verbal
- The ability to work as part of a team or autonomously
- Ability to organise and prioritise conflicting demands
- Excellent attention to detail
