Casting and machinery technician

Tom Wylie Jewellery and TWM is a manufacturing jeweller based in Erskine, near Glasgow. We specialise in the CAD/CAM manufacture of jewellery and the supply of machinery processes and R&D services to the wider UK and Irish jewellery trade.

We are expanding our in-house 3D printing and casting department. We're seeking an energetic, practical and innovative candidate to help with this project and its ongoing research and development.

Required attributes and skills (in order of importance):

  1. Honesty

  2. Energetic and strong work ethic.

  3. Common sense

  4. Desire to gain and refine new knowledge and skills.

  5. Driving licence

  6. Casting experience.

  7. CAD experience.

All necessary training and resources will be given to the correct candidate. Mechanical or electrical skills and previous experience would be advantageous.

Role, responsibilities, hours and location

The position is based in our Erskine workshops, Monday to Friday hrs.

With a need for the occasional weekend work and overtime.

We also regularly travel to clients and working partners factories (national and international).

  1. Work independently and collaboratively as part of a skilled workshop team.

  2. Process 3D printed models and prepare for casting.

  3. Carry out research and development on our printing and casting processes.

  4. Part of our machinery maintenance team both on site and off site.

  5. Complete training with our machinery working partners, to offer support to our machinery clients, in a service and maintenance capacity.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: £35,000.00-£50,000.00 per year
