Head of Sustainability

London based (hybrid work - 1 or 2 days a week on-site)

£85,000 – £100,000 plus benefits

A Head of Sustainability is wanted on a permanent basis by a client of ours who are looking at appointing someone to take ownership and drive the Enterprise Sustainability principles, along with setting targets and a plan to drive activity and measure the impact.

This is a permanent opportunity that includes a base salary of between £85,000 - £100,000 dependent upon experience and qualifications plus bonuses and benefits.

Overview of the Head of Sustainability role:

  • Acting as part of the Leadership Team, the successful candidate will drive the corporate sustainability remit for the company forward and take full ownership of building on what work has already been achieved by the organisation.
  • Connect the enterprise sustainability framework to the wider purpose and values of the organisation.
  • Build a more strategic and controlled framework to ensure continued success to the wider organisation.

Key skills required for the Head of Sustainability role:

  • Demonstrable sustainability expertise, including a strong understanding of social and community impact assessment, government regulations and climate change mitigation from previous roles.
  • Previous experience in leading and delivering strategic change initiatives, working with stakeholders at all levels of an organisation to influence and engage them in planning, execution and review.
  • Possess strong leadership, communication and interpersonal skills with an ability to drive the overall Sustainability plan.
