Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Nursery Practitioner to join our brand new nursery. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and experience working with children in a nursery setting. As a Nursery Practitioner, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality care and education to young children, fostering their development through engaging activities and a nurturing environment.

Responsibilities

  • Provide a safe, stimulating, and inclusive environment for children aged 0-5 years.
  • Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that promote learning and development across all areas of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).
  • Observe and assess children's progress, maintaining accurate records to support their individual learning journeys.
  • Communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues to build strong relationships and ensure the best outcomes for each child.
  • Work collaboratively with the nursery team to maintain high standards of care and education.
  • Support the management in maintaining compliance with health and safety regulations, safeguarding policies, and nursery procedures.
  • Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.

Requirements

  • Relevant qualifications in Early Childhood Education or Childcare (Level 2 or Level 3).
  • Previous experience working in a nursery or childcare setting is essential.
  • Strong management and leadership skills to guide less experienced staff when necessary.
  • Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
  • A genuine passion for working with children and supporting their development.
  • Ability to drive is desirable for potential off-site activities or outings.
  • A commitment to ongoing professional development and staying updated on best practices in early years education.
