Role Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Health Care Assistant (HCA) to join our friendly and professional care team. In this role, you will support residents with their daily needs, promote independence where possible, and contribute to their overall comfort, wellbeing, and quality of life.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality personal care to residents, including assistance with washing, dressing, toileting, and mobility.
- Support residents during mealtimes, ensuring nutritional needs and preferences are met.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date care records in line with regulatory requirements.
- Support residents with social and recreational activities, encouraging engagement and wellbeing.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues, families, and healthcare professionals.
- Ensure the dignity, privacy, and respect of all residents is upheld at all times.
- Follow care plans and report any changes in residents' needs or conditions to senior staff promptly.
About You
Essential:
- A genuine passion for working with older people and providing person-centred care.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work as part of a team and follow instructions.
- A caring, patient, and respectful attitude.
Desirable:
- Previous experience as a Health Care Assistant, Support Worker, or in a similar care role.
- NVQ/QCF Level 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care (or willingness to work towards this).
- Knowledge of care planning and record keeping.
