KS2 SEN Teacher – Specialized School – Ealing

A dedicated SEN school in Ealing is searching for a committed Key Stage 2 Teacher to join their team and provide tailored, supportive education to students with additional learning needs. Role Highlights

  • Permanent, full-time role within a supportive SEN school that is committed to providing individualized education and specialized support for students with diverse learning challenges
  • Develop and deliver engaging lesson plans that are customized to each student's specific abilities, learning goals, and interests, ensuring every child has a pathway to success and growth in both academic and personal skills
  • Collaborate closely with SEN professionals, teaching assistants, and support staff to create a comprehensive and coordinated support system that addresses the unique needs of each student, from academics to social development
  • Foster a nurturing and inclusive classroom environment where students feel valued, safe, and encouraged to actively engage in learning, building confidence in their abilities and developing essential life skills
  • Engage in continuous professional development and SEN-focused training, staying up-to-date with best practices and innovative teaching approaches in SEN education to enhance your skill set and provide the highest level of support to students
  • Monitor and assess student progress consistently, using data and observations to adjust teaching strategies as needed, collaborating with other staff to ensure the student's learning plans remain effective and impactful

Experience & Qualifications

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with experience in Key Stage 2 teaching, ideally with exposure to special educational needs (SEN) environments to bring an informed, empathetic approach to diverse learning requirements
  • Flexible and empathetic teaching approach, with the patience and understanding needed to meet the varied learning styles of students with additional needs
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, enabling you to work effectively with SEN support staff, fellow educators, and families to provide holistic, well-rounded support for each student
  • Commitment to inclusive education, with the adaptability to create and modify lesson plans that accommodate the different learning paces and abilities within the classroom
  • Enhanced DBS check required to ensure the safety and well-being of all students within the school
